Since May 2022, the DEWALQUE family has opened the doors of its
hotel "La Fontaine du Sabotier" and its restaurant "L'eau Antique".
Nestled in Awenne, a small village located not far from Saint-Hubert,
this former 17th century coaching inn offers, in addition to its
gastronomy, a relaxing and rejuvenating green setting to all its guests.

Awenne était jadis un village de sabotiers. On s’y retrouve donc à la Fontaine du Sabotier. La bâtisse de
1681 abritait un relais de poste. Quand Luc l’a reprise, le sol était toujours en terre battue ! Les 20 chambres de l’hôtel ont évidemment pris un coup de frais, mais l’établissement a su garder son âme d’antan. On apprécie le décor typiquement ardennais des salons, avec lumière tamisée et feu dans la cheminée. À l’heure du
repas, Luc vous accueille à L’Eau antique. L’établissement est réputé pour sa cuisine inventive de terroir. Et avec la jeune génération qui arrive, elle est plus inventive que jamais ! De nombreuses personnalités sont passées là pour découvrir aussi la très belle cave à vin. Le lieu est notamment apprécié par Albert et Paola..."
